Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana’s new political party could change the shape of our future! Under the holding title ‘Your Party’, the two have joined forces and created a refreshing party that strives for upholding left values.

‘Your Party’
Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana have shaken up the UK political scene by launching a new party: ‘Your Party’, focused on redistributing wealth and power across the country. The working title, ‘Your Party’, was launched on 24th July with a website that includes a statement and a sign-up page. In less than 24 hours, 200,000 people had signed up to support the new movement.
What is ‘Your Party’ about?
In short, Corbyn and Sultana have created a party to promote left-populist politics. Their shared statement highlights key points such as taxing the rich, addressing the housing crisis, helping young people out of debt, and ensuring public services are publicly owned. The party also embraces the idea that the current system is rigged.
Support for the party has grown rapidly, with total sign-ups now reaching 500,000, including myself.
The temporary party name will remain until a sovereign conference is held—a founding event where members democratically choose the party’s official name, leadership, structure, and policies. The benefit of this approach, according to Corbyn and Sultana, is that the party is truly member-driven, putting its future in the hands of grassroots participants.
Is a new party necessary?
A party for the people, the working class, and left-wing supporters—some may ask, is a new party really necessary? Couldn’t the Green Party provide the leadership we need? Doesn’t the current Labour Prime Minister share similar views?
In short, ‘Your Party’ offers refreshing politics for the people. Corbyn and Sultana are direct, and one example is their open support for Palestine. Their statement on the party’s website makes it clear that they are pro-Palestine, embedded in the party’s core beliefs—unlike Starmer, who tends to remain neutral on the mass atrocities occurring in Gaza against Palestinians.
The party could also challenge the UK’s entrenched two-party system, dominated by Labour and the Conservatives. With 500,000 sign-ups in just under five days, ‘Your Party’ already has a significant base, giving it a real chance of gaining popularity.
A coalition government could be a future tactic for Corbyn and Sultana. The Green Party and ‘Your Party’ could form an alliance, as both share similar left-wing views.
Zack Polanski, a member of the Green Party and currently campaigning to become party leader, recently released a video with a direct, powerful message. He criticized current political parties for blaming “the boats,” a phrase often used as a scapegoat in immigration debates. Polanski’s message aligns with Corbyn and Sultana’s principles: “Where do we draw the line on the lies, the scapegoating? The idea that there is no money left in this country.”
Polanski targets billionaires, highlighting that there are more billionaires in the UK than ever before. He emphasizes that the system must change, noting that Westminster is filled with lobbyists and that power remains firmly in the hands of the wealthy.
